Candice
Candice is a high school sophomore. She's in all honors-level classes. She's been getting good grades up until this year, but now Algebra 2 and Chemistry are throwing her for a loop. She feels pretty lost in class, she doesn't feel like her teacher understands her questions, and she spends a lot of time on her homework each night. But for all that effort, Candice is still getting C's and D's on her quizzes and tests. This is really stressing Candice out - she's always been a great student, but now she's doubting her abilitiesl.
Our recommendation: If her family can afford it and her schedule will allow it, we recommend that Candice signs up for our Scholar tutoring package (twice a week one-on-one tutoring) OR Honors tutoring package (once a week one-on-one tutoring) with one or two Group hours.

Ben
Ben is a high school junior. He's in mostly honors-level and AP classes. Ben had A's and B's until this year. He's on the soccer team in the fall, wrestling in the winter, and track in the spring, and he's also in band. He's really struggling to keep his GPA up this year, and he's also worried about the SAT, which he plans to take in April at school. He needs help getting at least B's in pre-calculus/trigonometry, physics, and AP Chemistry.
Our recommendation: If his family can afford it and his schedule will allow it, we recommend that Ben signs up for Scholar or Elite tutoring package (twice or three times a week one-on-one tutoring) OR Scholar tutoring package with one or two Group hours. We also strongly suggest that Ben and his family look into Test Prep Tutoring about 3 months before he takes the SAT.

Alex
Alex is a high school freshman. School has always been challenging for them, for reasons that go beyond understanding the math and science concepts that are being taught. Alex has a lot of anxiety when it comes to school, but they're really smart and they just need a teacher who can teach them the class content in a smaller, quieter setting free from distractions. Alex also needs some help to help them learn how to get organized, stay focused, and develop self-confidence. Their goals are to get mostly B's - a few A's would be great, too. Alex's parents know that if Alex could just have one understanding, caring teacher in their life, they would do so much better navigating the up's and down's of high school.
Our recommendation: If their family can afford it and their schedule will allow it, we recommend that Alex sign up for Scholar tutoring package (twice a week one-on-one tutoring). If Alex feels good about small group settings, we recommend they sign up for one Group Hour a week as well.

Georgia
Georgia is a 7th grader. She loves school - she especially loves math. Sometimes she feels kind of bored in her math class at school - her family agrees that Georgia needs to be challenged more so she can develop her math skills. Georgia also wants to apply to Uni, so she's getting ready to take the SSAT.
Our recommendation: We recommend that Georgia sign up for Honors or Scholar tutoring (once or twice a week tutoring). Her parents should select "Math Enrichment" on her registration form. Georgia's instructor will provide her with a challenging math curriculum. We also recommend that Georgia's parents sign her up for Test Prep Tutoring specific to the Middle Level SSAT about 3 months before she plans to take the test.

Ryan
Ryan is a sophomore at a rigorous high school. Their grades have been inconsistent - they're very smart, but they have a hard time concentrating in school. They have ADHD, which makes it harder to keep track of assignments and maintain focus when learning new, challenging material. Ryan would really benefit from working with an instructor who understands ADHD and who can empower Ryan with learning strategies that helps them excel in a standard classroom setting.
Our recommendation: If their family can afford it and their schedule will allow it, we recommend that Ryan sign up for Scholar or Elite tutoring (twice or three times a week one-on-one tutoring.) Some weeks, it may be helpful for Ryan to sign up to attend Group tutoring so that they can try their new study techniques in an environment where other students are learning.

Cameron
Cameron is a high school freshman who's smart, but who's also having trouble learning in class. His geometry groupmates aren't on task. He hasn't really found his new group of friends in his new school. He's just feeling really disconnected from school, which makes it hard for him to feel motivated enough to get his homework done. Cameron's parents are worried about him because they know he needs to do well his freshman year of high school if he wants any chance to do well after his freshman year. Cameron needs a teacher who will focus on his unique needs.
Another issue is that money is tight in Cameron's family right now. They want to find a great tutor, but most are beyond their budget.
Our recommendation: We recommend that Cameron sign up for one or two Group tutoring hours each week. If they are sure they can afford one Group hour a week, we encourage them to sign up for one Group hour now, and then sign up for additional Group hours the weeks that Cameron needs it and the cost fits in the family budget.

Kennedy
Kennedy is a high school sophomore. She's very bright, has lots of friends, and generally likes school. She used to not have to study very hard before, but she's noticed her study habits aren't quite working for Algebra 2 and chemistry. She's still getting mostly A's and B's on her assignments and tests, but barely - and as her schedule gets busier and the class material gets harder, she's worried she's going to start falling behind. Kennedy and her parents agree that she'd benefit from having some regular help for both classes each week.
Our recommendation: We recommend that Kennedy sign up for Honors or Scholar tutoring package (once or twice a week one-on-one tutoring) OR Honors tutoring package and one or two Group hours each week.
