Academic & Life Coaching for Students and Professionals
Is your student struggling with school? Students often feel so overwhelmed with the stress and anxiety of school. They may be struggling with ADHD, autism, or learning disabilities that make success feel impossible. Students may also experience anxiety at school because they aren't sure how to be their fullest, most authentic selves in a system that can be unkind to people who dare to be themselves.
For the past 13 years, we have helped over 1,000 students craft their definition of success in the classroom. By helping students identify their goals, we help students feel more comfortable and confident in themselves. With our support, students create a plan that focuses their efforts on managing busy schedules, making consistent improvement in their study habits and organization skills, and building healthy mental habits that will guide students through school and career.
Our office is a comfortable space where students feel affirmed, celebrated, and confident in their ability to reach their goals. Students and professionals who live outside of Champaign County, along with any student who prefers virtual sessions, work with us by Zoom.

Students commit to weekly academic coaching for a semester at a time. Each coaching plan is customized to meet the academic, developmental, and emotional needs of each student. Students meet once or twice a week for 60 minutes at a time, where they work on:
- School anxiety management
- Organization skills
- Study skills
- Relationship building
- Effective communication skills
- Self advocacy
- Sustainable goal setting
- Building resilience in the face of bullying and discrimination at school
Some students choose to work on homework for a few minutes each session, especially when they want to practice new study skills. However, the focus of academic coaching sessions is learning strategies to practice at home and at school. Students who need homework support should supplement academic coaching with tutoring!
